A Game of Dwarves:-
So you are a no good son of some dwarf king, sent out to rebuild the kingdom with your fleet of dwarves, ok that’s the story part, the game part is that you dig, and train, and craft, and dig, and upgrade, and dig, and find items, and dig, and sell, and dig and buy, and dig, then dig some more, dig here and dig there. Occasionally you’ll come before some heavy duty boss fight, which you can’t kill, and that’s about it in a nutshell.
Those other functionality games like minecraft and tycoon builder or something, its along their lines but the awesomeness part of those things were kept in the layers of freedom and fun with construction frenzy of the players, apply and effect kind of thing. Here the same base of construct and apply does not give you anything except maybe a huge set of yawns or cure from insomnia.
Don’t take that it’s all downhill for this title, it may be something good for noobs or kids but even then they will go along with it for like 1 hour, 2 perhaps, not more than that.
Digging around in every direction with no character/story/format/gameplay/battle system/everything there should be in an interesting game is kind of a…plain!
Developed by Zeal Game Studios and published by Paradox Interactive for the PC, the game was released on 23rd October 2012.
Its not a total waste if you are fan of the construction and functionality genres of games, but it does not hold the same strength as its predecessors who built this genre up. It’s a time pass for the fans but not even to every one of them!
