There are some pieces of artistic creation that just snap you out of your routine misery and engulf you into something unexplainably majestic, you wish to die right there and be transferred into that wonder land, these sort of things are oblivious to good or bad, great or not. Such is the thing with Alice: Madness Returns.
Ten years later from the original American McGee's Alice title, the story now revolves around Alice trying to pin down the truth of her history and her parent’s death from an orphanage where she resides. The game constantly jumps from the haunting yet so beautiful streets of London to majestic/awesome maddening parts of the Wonderland and we were just drooling, drooling all the way into the game to say anything disti- distingi- distinguishable!
The gameplay is much smoother now, butter like. The game proceeds with the third person view with free camera controls, the music, the sounds, the creepiness, the haunting, the beauty of nihilism, the story, the capture of the atmosphere, the battle system, the AI everything is just perfect and great but most of all, its pure unadulterated fun.
IT IS FUN! This is our shortest and truest review about it.
Once again directed/designed by the master American McGee, developed by Spicy Horse and published by Electronic Arts for the PC, X360 and PS3, it was released on June 14 2011 (NA) and on June 16 2011 (EU).
Ugh- well there are a few tiny little flaws with it mainly related with control issues (on the PC) and the hoards of enemies at times, but apart from that nothing feels letdown with this. Not being eccentric over it but it is good! Also there are tons of costumes for our “lovely” Alice to wear which are just, perky.
