Perhaps one of the greatest video games ever, which basically means in layman’s term, one of the most enjoyable games ever, BioShock is one of the main stream favorite and a whole new genre itself.
You are Jack who has crashed his plane into the Atlantic Ocean, it’s the 60’s by the way, 1960 to be exact, as he takes shelter in a nearby light house, he finds it to be a elevator to a hidden city called Rapture, built by some business tycoon as a separate Utopia for the elites to reside out of the government’s controls.
As you reach its threshold, the madness begins and your journey to escape into safety as well.
The game is basically FPS with stealth elements and RPG customization mixed in as well, as you proceed ahead into the city you uncover its terrible past and its scary present, where all kinds of monstrosities are after ADAMs, a DNA altering material that allows for super human powers into anyone.
There are hapless little orphaned girls called, “Little Sisters” who hold pouches of ADAMs in their stomachs, big hulking machines that protect these girls called “Big Daddies” and horrific super powered soldier machines that destroy anything called, “Splicers” and not to forget the mad attackers, once elites of the world, now completely cuckoo, dangerous cuckoo!
As you learn the horrific tale of this city and its once sane and moody inhabitants, while you battle on with the oncoming dangers with a variety of weapons and some ADAM abilities as well.
The game offers you moral choices in between the game journey that really alter the ending, making it a new kind of experience of a FPS gaming.
The game imbibes your senses completely and just shocks the hell out of you, even today.
