BioShock
The Game!
Perhaps one of the greatest video games ever, which basically means in layman’s term, one of the most enjoyable games ever, BioShock is one of the main stream favorite and a whole new genre itself.
You are Jack who has crashed his plane into the Atlantic Ocean, it’s the 60’s by the way, 1960 to be exact, as he takes shelter in a nearby light house, he finds it to be a elevator to a hidden city called Rapture, built by some business tycoon as a separate Utopia for the elites to reside out of the government’s controls.
As you reach its threshold, the madness begins and your journey to escape into safety as well.
The Gameplay!
The game is basically FPS with stealth elements and RPG customization mixed in as well, as you proceed ahead into the city you uncover its terrible past and its scary present, where all kinds of monstrosities are after ADAMs, a DNA altering material that allows for super human powers into anyone.
There are hapless little orphaned girls called, “Little Sisters” who hold pouches of ADAMs in their stomachs, big hulking machines that protect these girls called “Big Daddies” and horrific super powered soldier machines that destroy anything called, “Splicers” and not to forget the mad attackers, once elites of the world, now completely cuckoo, dangerous cuckoo!
As you learn the horrific tale of this city and its once sane and moody inhabitants, while you battle on with the oncoming dangers with a variety of weapons and some ADAM abilities as well.
The game offers you moral choices in between the game journey that really alter the ending, making it a new kind of experience of a FPS gaming.
The game imbibes your senses completely and just shocks the hell out of you, even today.

The Appeal!
First person journey through a survival horror themed doomed city, with some new kind of ferocious monsters lurking anywhere, great powers that must be used carefully along with some great psychology stuff mixed into the gameplay and story succession, yup, that’s something one should be looking really forward too.
The Game!
The game BioShock 2 takes place 8 years after the events of BioShock, in 1968. As once mind controlled into shooting his own head off, the subject Delta is revived by Little Sisters who are under the influence of Eleanor, his once Little Sister.
Soon it becomes apparent for Delta that he must reunite with Eleanor or else he would collapse into coma, as he travels across the city of Rapture along with the help of some allies and NPCs he learns of the game’s antagonist, Lamb’s plan of using Eleanor as her own personal embodiment of altruistic ideals.
And thus the conflict begins of saving and reuniting with Eleanor, defeating the bad girl and creating a better future by making the right decisions.
The Gameplay!
The gameplay is the same as BioShock - only refined, you control one weapon of any kind like guns, crowbars, rocket launchers etc in one hand and use the plasmid ADAM abilities from another one. And as you go through the city, fighting all kinds of hostiles, cleverly using your powers and weapons you get to have some of the most amazing, fast paced and interesting gaming experience.
The gameplay is the usual FPS view with stealth elements and RPG customization. A multiplayer mode is also available with its own challenge mode story arc.
And its lots of interactive fun!
The Company!
Developed by 2K Marin and 2K Australia, published by 2K Games for the PC, PS3, X360 and OS X. it was released on February 9 2010 for PC, PS3 and X360 and on March 29 2012 for the OS X.
The Appeal!
The appeal of this series mainly lies in how the cleverly designed, fast paced and variety infested action system that asks you for choices at times against enemies and allies alike is handled, well woven into the concept of the story and of course, the enemies, how you handle the boss fights, the traps and the difficulties to uncover the mystery in a creepy-ish survival horror themed FPS game is the main appeal of the series.
The Game!
The year is 1912, as Booker DeWitt, you are tasked to bring a girl from the clasps of the flying city of Columbia, okey-dokey, you say heavily doubting your employers’ sanity, you enter the light house which is actually an elevator to the aforementioned city.
When you reach it, your jaw hits the floor first as you stare at the city, but soon you control yourself and succeed into finding the girl, Elizabeth.
You try to take her to New York for her delivery but she insists to go to Paris, before either of you could go to any exotic destination, shit bomb explodes and you must save your hide and hers as well into some safety and try making the sense of the commotion.
The Gameplay!
Gameplay is fluid, fast and action packed, although there are less moral choices that have no real impact on the game’s progression, but that doesn’t even matter here as you’ll mostly be immersed in the action fighting, mystery solving, puzzle breaking, truth finding, and shock absorbing the whole time.
Take two weapons this time, and also a sky-hook, a gory weapon cum personal travelling machine through the sky lines of Columbia, use Vigors to inflict super powered damages on the enemies, use gears to add passive abilities to your action stat and overall just rule over them all!
The main alley with you here will be Elizabeth of course, and trust us, she is very handy and really saves your skin a lot, it will be a very great tag team experience.
