Want to join the never ending battle between good and evil and be a part of one of the most actively played game on Steam? Then you need to play Dota 2!
Dota 2 is a free to play multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Valve Corporation. Its available for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux via Steam.
Dota 2 allows the players to choose a side from The Radiants (the good) and The Dires (the bad). After the players choose a side, they must develop their respective heroes for battle against the opposing side. Players have more than 110 heroes to choose from.
In Dota 2, the players have to constantly battle with the opposing side in order to succeed and excel in the game. Each battle has 5 heroes from both the sides and they are aided by their respective minions or “creeps”. Each hero has 4 abilities which can be developed by accumulating gold and experience. Both gold and experience are directly proportional to players playing more battles.
The main motive of each battle is to destroy the stronghold of the opposing team (The Ancient). While attacking these strongholds, players also need to watch out for defensive towers which attack any member of the raiding party. Apart from towers, players need to watch for “neutrals” who don’t support any side and will attack both the teams if encountered. Although the game and heroes of Dota 2 are free, the players can choose to pay for any cosmetics they want to apply on their heroes.
