The game!
The game Mass Effect is to gamers what Marvel Movies are to Cinema goers.
Loud, Action Packed, and Fun!
Fun?
Oh wait, I meant Blogging instead of Marvel Movies, sorry my bad!
So Mass Effect is a science fiction action, role playing third person, shooter game, kinda like Halo series. But with lots more variety and new things like story driven plots and character development, plus RPG like player development.
The game follows the story of Commander Shephard who sets out to explore the galaxy on a starship, SSV Normandy. And the thing “Mass Effect’ is actually a technology in the game world which negates mass in order to travel faster than the speed of light!
Look it’s all fancy sciency stuff presented in the game to make believe the story and the world but we couldn’t care less about the technical details, we want it there to make it feel real and meaningful but we are gonna just play the game, ok!
So we won’t describe the whole technical jargon on this thing just the main stuff.
The gameplay!
First off, you can create any kind of main character for yourself, male or female of any gender. Then there are classes, like Soldier, Engineer, Adept, Infiltrator, Sentinel and Vanguard. They are obviously described on their combat function proportions, the combat functions include weaponry, tech abilities and biotic powers (read: psychic powers).
Then there is this morality system that makes NPCs love you or infest a loathing desire to murder you in seclusion somewhere.
Combat happens in real time but you can change or select weapons for yourself or your teammates by pausing the game.
Then there is upgradation that can modify or get you new weapons and armors and other goodies.
Then there is the game itself of course that makes you have some of the best FPS gaming experience ever.
The Company!
Developed by BioWare and published by Microsoft Game Studios for X360, PS3 and PC. It was initially released in November 2007.
The Appeal!
The game is a pure delight for fun loving action seekers, its smart, its fun and its demanding of neat gaming skills from you.
All in all a great and epic game based solely on apt gaming mechanics…plus there are some great boning scenes with your teammates, including that blue alien chick.
Toodles!
