The Walking Dead is a Comic Book series, it started as that and then later it was converted to the TV series, “The Really Long Walking and Sometimes Dead” we all now baptize our children to.
Developed by Telltale Games, it is basically based on the events of the comics (thank Satan for that!), in an episodic drama adventure survival attempt sort of way, where the main focus is given to character developments and story (yup we can die now, although we won’t, not yet!).
The game starts with the character bonding between a little girl called Clementine and an escaped prisoner Lee Everett, their constant struggle to search for their loved ones, while leading a small pack of survivors in a flesh eating plague riddled apocalypse scenario, is something no sensitive person can go through without some sort of therapy.
The game makes you interact with everyone and everything in your journey and even the smallest of actions or dialogues really take things to new directions, it’s not about being good or bad here, its about doing what needs to be done.
It could get an emotional rollercoaster ride for some, not for us we are big boys…yes we are..yes we are infinite times!
The game gives you moral choices to make throughout the game, there are times when you have to make really quick choices, failing to do so could result in some characters’ death or a huge disposition change towards Lee.
All these small or big things affect the later parts of the game and story, the moral dilemmas and tough as nail choices that we have to put ourselves through make for some really discomforting realization of human compulsions and also great unique gaming experience.
There are also action sequences as well but they are done with QTEs or Quick Time Events, they are demanding in speed and wits both at once.
This one is not for the easily disturbed people.
But a great game nonetheless!
Developed and published by Telltale Games for the Android, iOS, Kindle Fire HDX, OS X, Microsoft Windows, Ouya, PS3, Ps4, PS VITA, X360 and XOne. It was initially released in April 2012.
The game is actually a set of five episodes that were released from April to November 2012, and all of them are so high in story and character development that you will fall in love with this whole experience in more ways than one.
