The game Thief is the rebooted 2014 game from the original 1998 cult classic The Thief video game series.
It is what when Sly Cooper meets Assassin’s Creed.
Yes it is that cool, we wonder why nobody talks more about such titles, Thief in our eyes holds so much of potential and our watches…hey wait!
So anyway the game Thief is set in a city named ‘The City’ which is a mix of Victorian, Gothic and Steampunk, dark fantasy world where you have to do the thievery!
The setting of the game sees the protagonist, Garrett (not that Garrett from the previous original series, as this new reboot is set hundreds of years later from the events of the last game) a master thief for hire returning to his city which is now ruled by a dickhead, dictator The baron and the whole place is infected with Plague.
Where the rich are living the lives of comforts and the poor are enjoying the evening by watching the candles melting, which is still fast paced than English soap operas!
So now begins Garrett’s quest, to make the most of this haunting situation as he reunites with Erin, his on and off love interest and plot initiator.
The game is methodically set to stealth, no combats are necessary but they can be performed if need be by stealthy takedowns or silent kills.
This is pure stealth game, and as you are given the task to loo the enemies off their fortunes, you have to break into hug ass mansions and palaces and try to sneak past the guards and traps and into the treasury.
The AI of the game is already programmed such that they know of the floor designs of the game and thus they can easily guess where you might be hiding so its not just about finding a safe spot but also anticipating the next move to evade being found and killed.
The game’s story is so-so but the main thing about it is its gameplay and replay value meaning full money back deal on this game!
The game has a story that is too predictable and slow but the missions and carrying them out ask for the greatest of precise gaming strategies and abilities.
It’s a test of your 20 years of growing potatoes in the couch.
Developed by Eidos Montreal and Nixxes Software BV, and published by Square Enix for PC, PS#, PS$, X360, XOne and OS X. it was released in February 2014.
Be the master thief, sneak into the giant and protected castles and mansions, dick around with guards, finish them off pure ninja style, rob the dumbasses off of their prized possessions and then pee on their thick Iranian carpets.
Ah, that brings back some memories!
