Toki Tori, a game from Japan that does not initiate nightmares or weird behavior patterns or anxiety disorders, no sir, nope, not this one!
But still, even without clownshit crazy shenanigans of Japan, it’s very fun, and that is something… unexpected… from us, from Japan and from the universe.
What the hell Universe? Can Japan make fun and awesome games without using twenty three kinds of schizophrenic distress invokers in it?
Well, well, well slap us thrice and hand us over to our gardeners, we are amazed!!!
Look we used three exclamation marks!
So anyways this is one game from Japan that is cute but still is not! For you see the game revolves around a bucket coop full of chicken eggs, suddenly all of those eggs are swept away except one, that egg hatches out to be Toki Tori, the eponymous titular character of the game!
And as he watches his brothers and sisters flying away into some hug ass and scary looking castle for god knows what kind of reasons, maybe omelet related reasons or maybe egg rolls related reasons or maybe English toast related reasons….goddamit those evil bastards!
So Toki Tori vows to avenge his no wait u8p they are not dead yet, so Toki Tori vows to save his unborn family and thus the cute looking but in subtlety not cute at all game begins!
Toki Tori is a platforming puzzle video game that uses intelligent and wise plan making ahead in advance before to pose challenges at its players.
You are supposed to collect your unborn brothers and sisters, the eggs we mean, there is a screen with some platforms seem hard to reach with the eggs on it and you are also given some unique tools or call them abilities if you want at the start of each level.
Use those tools wisely to collect all the eggs as soon as possible before the time runs out.
There is a timer ticking off at the start of every level in the game and you have to be very wise with what you do to finish a game level.
The enemies in the game are just like in the Super Mario Brothers game, they patrol around and won’t pose any threat if you stay away but the game makes you go near them.
All in all collecting eggs, within time, in a difficult setting of platforms, using a specific tool at every level requires good control over brain usage and time management.
It is a very fun game to whomever with brain and time management, and so it so rightfully was found fun by us too, totally, why are you smiling like that?
Developed by Two Tribes B.V. , published by two tribes B.V., Capcom, AIM Productions, Chillingo and Rainy Frog LLC and distributed for Game Boy Color, Linux, OS X, Android, iOS, WiiWare, OnLive, Windows, Windows Mobile, 3DS Virtual Console, PlayStaion 3, Wii U, eShop and Nintendo 3DS eShop.
It was released in September 2001.
It’s a very fun and clever puzzle platformer that promises hours and hours of brain teasing fun and it also has a neat story going for it that makes the actions in the game not ridiculous unlike some jewelry matching and candy crushing shitpiles we had to see!
