The Game!
Naughty Dogs’ ambitious project Uncharted series had caught the attention of the whole gaming universe since the beginning, just like Assassin’s Creed did. But whereas AC has quite basically become a milking goat for the Ubisoft, Uncharted still is giving one of the best gaming moments and seems very humble in its own great presence.
The series is a reminiscent of Lara Croft series, in almost every bit but still it holds on its own mythos and legacy only because of its sky is the limit presentation and gameplay experience.
The story follows Nathan Drake, a supposed descendant of a legendary explorer Sir Francis Drake, who is your regular average guy but with guts for adventures and of course treasures, he is out there in this one to look for the legendary El Dorado, a mythical city made out of pure gold.
You can sense that it is gotta be huge in cinematics and adventure.
The Gameplay!
The gameplay is mainly focused upon exploration and adventure, great intelligent puzzles and of course the chasing threats. The game is presented in third person view and has a neat battle system, the action takes place in over the back perspective with crosshair directions.
The game is a journey, you are literally learning so much, seeing so much and doing so much to actually feel the excitement of finding that city and escaping the bad guys, at the same time.
The main fun of the UDF lies in of course the exploration, and the actions that are thrown in between only build up for the next finding that you are about to make.
It plays like a movie.
The Company!
Developed by Naughty Dog and Published by Sony Computer Entertainment, and directed by Amy Hennig for PlayStation 3 and PlayStaion 4, it was released on November 2007 (PS3) and October 2015 (PS4).
The Appeal!
It’s a pure story driven, engaging, situations compelled action adventure gaming experience that makes you forget about everything that worries you for a long time, go for it.
The Game!
The second iteration of the Uncharted series, Among Thieves holds to be in one of the greatest video games ever made.
Nathan returns with his cast of badass friends Chloe, Elena and of course Sullivan this time to take on the mysterious legend of Chintamani Stone and find the location of the Shangri-La in the depths of Himalayas.
The game is a true cinematic experience right from the awesome, WHOA inducing and legendary opening scene.
And after that it leaves the realms of being a game and plays like a full Indiana Jones Level movie with awesomeness here and greatness there.
The Gameplay!
The battle system of the series, two firearms and limited supply of grenades is all we had last time and all we really need this time too because its all about wits.
The story, the screenplay, the game progress, the puzzles, the mystery, the history, the constantly following dangers, the need to be ten step ahead from the threats and the action required to unlock the suspense ahead is what this series is all about.
The exploring of the truth with rugged raw dangers and breath taking wonders of life and the world thrown in between.
We were too busy picking our jaws up from the floor so this is all we can basically describe about the whole gameplay thing here, sorry.
The Company!
Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, directed by a returning Amy Hennig and Bruce Straley, for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, it was released on October 2009 (PS3) and October 2015 (PS4).
The Game!
Holy Crap you guys, it’s like we now desperately want to skin our flesh and imbue the DVDs of this series in our lungs or something, our pathetic, sad, couch bred lives belong to you now Uncharted game series!
Nathan is back again for a third time to look for legendary lost city of Iram of the Pillars, that is mentioned in Quran.
The game has some of the most stunning visuals and moments that beat down the big budget Hollywood movies with hostile aggression and a steel pipe, the spiritual presence of Rub’ Al Khali Desert, Man eating spiders and a fragment of our combined unholy souls that you can unlock by pressing *, #, |, ~ buttons in the game, anytime!
The Gameplay!
The gameplay mechanics is now tweaked a lot in this third person view game, with great new melee attacks, stealth attacks and hand to hand fighting combos that are just pure delicacy in the game’s story progress.
The action system is more or less the same but hey if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! The stealth use in this new iteration is a thing that rings a different bell altogether along with the melee combat as well, it just adds up to the spontaneous escape mission scenarios of the series.
The game, the story, the screenplay, the moments, the action, the puzzles are still like those necessary ingredients to make a tasty dish and only more exotic.
The music and the sounds according to the mood and setting of the game has always been the plus point of this series and this time it has only outdone itself.
Just enjoy the events unfolding before you and relax, sit back and watch!
